Kintegra Health is North Carolina’s largest provider of school-based behavioral health services, employing over 170 licensed therapists serving students in over 200 schools across 17 North Carolina counties.
Partnering with Kintegra means bringing equitable, high-quality behavioral health care directly to your students – when and where they need it most. The Program brings licensed mental health therapist directly into your school, with proven positive impact on student attendance, health outcomes and overall well-being.

Kintegra places a licensed therapist directly within your school. The therapist is a Kintegra staff member, on site full-time, 5 days/week, providing counseling for students, as directed by your administration. The therapist works alongside your administrative and teaching staff, becoming fully integrated into the school culture and activities. This proven model provides consistency for students, reduces stigma and makes mental health services accessible, integrated and aligned with your academic mission.
Therapists provide both direct counseling services and school-wide support, helping address mental health needs at every level.
Students must be enrolled in Kintegra’s School Based-Health Program to receive services. The enrollment process includes parental/guardian consent, which is managed and maintained directly by Kintegra.
Unlike many school-based programs, Kintegra can also provide continued access to care during the summer months, ensuring continuity of services beyond the academic year.
Students and families have access to Kintegra’s broader network of practices, where services include:
