Dental ACCESS Program: Dentistry at Schools

bus provides free mobile dental services for childrenKintegra’s dental ACCESS  program began in Gaston County in 2000, partnering with Title 1 elementary schools to provide dental care to school children otherwise unlikely to receive it.  Initially, school children were transported to the dental practice to receive receive oral health education, preventative care, examinations and treatment.

Today, Kintegra operates two Mobile Dental Units (MDU), taking the ACCESS Program to a new level.  It brings full-service dental care right to participating elementary schools, thus minimizing students’ time away from class.  Each unit has three chairs, and is equipped with X-ray (including panagraph) capability and is fully staffed with a dentist and three dental assistants.  The MDUs now serve students at participating schools in Catawba, Gaston, Iredell and Lincoln Counties.

All care on the MDU is provided at no cost to the patient.

If your child’s school participates in Kintegra’s Dental ACCESS Program, and you would like him/her to receive the preventive care provided in the Program, please print and sign the consent form below, and return it to your school’s office.
