Mobile Podiatry Program

Kintegra is seeking a passionate, mission-minded podiatrist to develop and grow a new mobile podiatry program, serving individuals within  communities in Cleveland, Catawba, Gaston and Iredell and Lincoln Counties.   The ideal candidate will provide evaluations using x-ray imaging, and treat chronic disease conditions like diabetes and other common foot and ankle problems (e.g., arthritis, plantar fasciitis, ingrown toenails, etc.). This full-time position will treat patients during specified hours on a mobile unit with the assistance of a medical assistant.

Are you just starting out your career as a Podiatrist and ready to put all those arduous hours of training to work? Or, maybe you’re a seasoned expert in the field and would like to transition to a different method of delivering podiatry services to those in need.  Your expertise is vital to the successful development of this new program.

Kintegra has provided podiatry services for many years in Gaston County, in a limited capacity.    Patients with foot and ankle conditions are referred to an after-hour clinic at a Kintegra practice, where once a month podiatrists from private practice in the community volunteer their time to provide evaluations and treatment.  Demand for these services is high among our patient population, not just in Gaston County, but throughout our service area.  The need is particularly acute for uninsured patients and those those living with diabetes.  Kintegra is responding to this need with the launch of the mobile podiatry program.

The mobile podiatry unit will be equipped with all necessary podiatric tools: two examination rooms, each with a podiatry-fashioned medical chair; a lab, lower cabinets with work surface and upper cabinet storage space; Sink cabinet/storage; IT closet; wheelchair lift and stairs at the rear of the bus.
